Important Customer Update: Transition of sia Abrasives Warehouse Operations to Bosch
We are issuing this notice to ensure all customers are aware of a key operational update involving sia Abrasives UK warehouse functions.
sia Abrasives are currently undergoing a key operational change that will see their warehouse activities move across to a Bosch operated facility in the Midlands. Bosch originally acquired sia Abrasives in 2008 and this next step will now bring both brands closer together operationally within the UK.
This transition will bring significant logistical advantages and will enable sia Abrasives to hold a higher volume of stock within the UK. As a result, there will be a wider range of abrasive products available all year round. This will allow us to increase the variety of sanding discs and abrasive solutions available and support faster processing times, with same day dispatch available on more product lines.
Although this move will deliver important long term benefits, there may be some short term disruption throughout the transition period. We want to ensure complete transparency on how this could temporarily impact service levels and order lead times so customers can plan ahead accordingly.

Expected Temporary Disruptions
During the transition period (17th - 28th November), customers may experience the following service impacts:
Order Delays
No orders will be processed after 1:00pm Friday 14th November. All new orders placed after 1:00pm on 14th November will be processed from 1st December.
Freeze on New Product Requests
We will be unable to fulfil any new product requests during this period, as they will need to be submitted into the new system.
Extended Lead Times
Products not stocked in the UK - including made to order items and UK conversion products - will have longer lead times than usual (estimated 2 - 3 weeks longer).
Slower Technical Assistance
We will continue to respond to enquiries during this period, however product recommendations and technical assistance may take longer than usual.
Please Note: Effective 1st December 2025, our daily order cut-off time for same-day dispatch will change to 10:30am (Monday - Friday). Please ensure orders are submitted before 10:30am to avoid delays.

Use this timeline to plan your abrasive orders and ensure you have stock ahead of the move:

| Saturday 15th - Sunday 30th November 2025 | Warehouse Transition Period | Any orders placed during this time will be held and processed on the new system starting 1st December. Product recommendations and technical assistance may be delayed. |
| Monday 1st December 2025 | Return to Normal Service & Updated Order Cut-Off Time | All outstanding orders will be processed (a backlog may cause delays for a couple of weeks). New product requests will be available. Lead times for non-UK stocked products should return to normal (a backlog may cause delays for a couple of weeks). Order cut-off time updates to 10:30am (Monday - Friday). |
